New Underwater Restaurant To Open In The Maldives
During the 2015 series of Strictly Come Dancing, actress Georgia May Foote and her dance partner Giovanni Pernice’s chemistry was evident for all to see. So much so that the pair quickly became an item when the show ended. Now that they have just finished the end of the ‘Strictly’ tour, the loved-up couple have decided to celebrate with a fabulous holiday to the Maldives. Georgia and Giovanni have been posting holiday pictures on their Instagram accounts of the idyllic beach location, which is no doubt prompting some fans to consider a holiday to this part of the world themselves.
The Maldives is one of the most beautiful locations on the planet for a vacation, and it is probably at the top of most people’s wish lists when it comes to luxury beach holidays. With some of the top hotels and resorts in the world, there hardly needs to be more incentive to travel to this paradise island nation.
However, the news that the largest underwater restaurant in the world is to be built at a Maldives hotel makes this destination even more desirable.
The Hurawalhi Island Resort and Spa is planning to open the restaurant later in the year (2016), and those lucky enough to be staying here will be treated to something really special. From every angle of the room, diners will be able to feast (pardon the pun) their eyes on the stunning marine life of the Indian Ocean, with panoramic views of the crystal clear waters.
Once in a Lifetime Experience
For most people, the chance to head off to the stunning Maldives is a once in a lifetime experience but being able to dine underwater will be truly exceptional. The new restaurant will be situated nineteen feet below the ocean’s surface, and up to 24 guests will have the opportunity to dine at any given time.
Food will not be prepared underwater; this will be done on land and then transported to diners by staff via a staircase leading from a nearby jetty. As well as being the largest underwater restaurant in the world, it will also cater to wedding parties held at the resort, making it an even more desirable location.
The Maldives is already high on the list for many couples planning a wedding abroad. With so many of the top resorts providing wedding planners to take care of most of the arrangements, and with the tropical paradise providing the perfect setting, it is no surprise. However, many couples will now want to take advantage of this stunning underwater restaurant for their reception, with their closest family members and friends in attendance.
While the Maldives is one of the most romantic destinations in the world and perfect for a wedding or honeymoon, it is not exclusively a honeymoon destination. It is also ideal for family vacations, as many resorts welcome and cater for children of all ages.
